Cooking Classes & Workshops

Food is a powerful connector, and teaching is my favourite way to bring people together.

I’ve led everything from hands-on kitchen classes to facilitating conversations about food systems and sustainability. From teaching knife skills to teenagers, to helping busy families simplify meal prep. I meet people where they’re at and make food feel engaging and fun!!

How We Can Learn Together

  • A man with a beard, wearing a headset microphone and a floral shirt, is cooking or preparing food on a stove in a dimly lit environment with warm, colorful lighting.

    Live Demos & Talks

I offer live cooking demonstrations as well as food-focused talks and facilitated discussions at events, festivals, and conferences. Sessions can be hands-on, demo-based, or conversational.

I often blend cooking with storytelling, food systems insights, and audience engagement.

    Community & School Programs

I partner with schools, non-profits, and community organizations to deliver cooking workshops, classroom sessions, and food systems education for youth, adults, and families.

Programs can be practical, discussion-based, or a mix of both. From basic kitchen skills to sustainability and food literacy.

  • People chopping red peppers in a kitchen with a mortar and pestle, wooden chopping boards, and green herbs on a banana leaf.

    Private Kitchen Lessons

Hands-on cooking lessons in your home, designed for one-on-one learning or small groups of friends or family. These sessions are all about getting into the kitchen together. Building confidence, learning specific skills, or cooking your way through a theme or cuisine.

Perfect if you want practical guidance, a shared experience, or a fun and meaningful way to learn through food.

  • Fresh vegetables and spices, including garlic, tomatoes, lemon, chives, and various bowls of seeds and seasonings on a yellow surface.

    Curriculum & Program Design

I design custom food-based curriculum and learning programs tailored to your audience, setting, and goals. Programs can be delivered directly by me, designed for your team to deliver, or structured as a hybrid (including training, facilitation support, and materials to help others confidently lead the content).

This can range from one-off workshops to multi-session programs embedded within schools, community organizations, or existing initiatives.

Events & Updates

Alongside private sessions and custom programs, I occasionally host public cooking classes, workshops, pop-up dinners, and other food-centered events. If you’d like to hear about upcoming events and offerings subscribe to my newsletter, or view my Events page.
